Me! Me! Me!
August 2, 2010 at 2:09 pm | Posted in General Sewing, I love this | 13 CommentsAbout that me-time…..
I had so much me-time this weekend that my husband has run off interstate as quick as he could today!
I spent the weekend at Kellie’s Don’t Look Now workshop hosted by Corrie in Sydney and had a ball.
I learned so much from the inspiring and fabulous Kellie, and I got to sit next to some cool chicks and chat for two whole days.
If you haven’t seen Kellie’s work, then you’re missing something fabulous, because this woman is really very, very talented.

Gorgeous, huh?
Oh, yeah, and I had to work too. Kellie kept a cracking pace and we all worked really, really hard on our “Wish You Were Here” cushions.
I didn’t get to finish mine, but I did give it a red-hot go!

I do want to try and finish it while everything is still fresh in my mind. I enjoyed the challenge of the machine quilting tremendously, even if I did have to stop and step away quite often just to relax the shoulders and take a breath.
I’d highly recommend any workshop with Kellie, and Corrie, you did a great job having everything there ready for us. I have heard that other hosts don’t go to that much trouble and I really appreciate your efforts to make it go so smoothly. Great work, ladies! Thanks so much!

Looks great Sheridan!!!! Do the threads get snipped off or hand sewn back to underneath and knotted then snipped? I always wonder which way to do it….

It was great fun, wasn’t it? I had a ball sitting with you and Cath – such a hoot!
My husband’s off to QLD tomorrow. I think he’ll take a big sigh of relief when he gets to the hotel room tomorrow night, LOL.

Gorgeous! I’m really drawn to Kellie’s work. It’s so beautiful. It almost makes me want to quilt.
Are you going to bring it on Thursday? I’d love to see it. Please.
