All the 3’s
April 23, 2008 at 4:25 pm | In General Sewing | 3 CommentsAll the Mother’s Group kids turned 3 in April. Do you remember last year’s panic? (By the way, I never did finish that 3rd Thomas quilt for Henry. Bad mother).
So this year I vowed to make easy-peasy quick presents. Which I did. But, you know, by the 5th one, they just aren’t feeling so easy-peasy and quick. I will admit that making the last one, which I have just finished, felt torturous. But it is finished in time for the last party tomorrow.
Here they are:

I showed you a sneak peek of Henry’s bag earlier. The one with the H (uh, of course) is the front. I put the printable fabric patch on the other side.
All the kids got books in their bags, too. For the record, the boys A and R are very much individuals. But that fabric is so perfect for both of them, that I just didn’t have the heart to choose between them. So they got the same.
I have made these bags heaps of times before. Great pattern and quick, easy and fun to make (the first few times).
So, next year. With a 4 month old in tow, d’ya reckon I can avoid anything handmade – with a clear conscience?

They all look great. I love love love the R (girl) fabric. I will be posting soon about kids B’days. I am a little busy too … putting offers in on houses and all that!
