Thanks for all the beautiful birthday wishes! This photo should probably be of something birthday-ish, but my overused and overloved camera battery finally conked out on Saturday night, and so there are no photos from yesterday on my camera. We had a lovely lazy day. Breakfast at the cafe at the surf club, on the beach, sitting in the warm, autumn sun. Walks. An afternoon sleep during a rain shower. Time alone to watch a chick flick on DVD (oh, the things that become luxuries once you have children!). And all my immediate family to share it with. Sigh. Heaven.

I have recently become obsessed with this establishment (in Paris, of all places), and to my great delight, Mum bought me a big box of these for my ‘cake’. I took some photos on her camera. Wait until you see them. I even shared them. I am sooo generous on my own birthday. They were very, very delicious!

Just 3 hours until *hopefully* we see a little heartbeat pounding away on the screen. Please cross your fingers for me. I am very nervous. I promise I shall relax if today goes well. Promise.
